COVID 19 UPDATE

COVID-19-Patient guidelines

We wish to reassure all our patients that as an essential medical service, the dental surgery will remain open throughout the level 5 restrictions in the governments living with Covid plan. We look forward to seeing our patients and looking after your dental health at this difficult time.

Our commitment to health and safety is our main priority in delivering dental care to our patients in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before you make an appointment

  • Make an assessment of your general health. If you are displaying a high temperature, signs of respiratory distress, have travelled abroad or have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19 please self-isolate and postpone your visit

  • Always phone the surgery to schedule a visit. We cannot accept walk ins and will be operating intercom access in future

  • Our staff will contact you one day prior to your visit to confirm your attendance and will conduct a health screening questionnaire

On the day of your appointment

  • Please attend on time and alone bringing as few possessions as possible. We may contact you and ask you to wait in your car prior to your visit to help reduce people contact and to maintain social distancing

  • Please use hand sanitising facilities provided and observe public health guidance on coughing and sneezing etiquette

  • Try to avoid touching surfaces and unnecessary items. We have removed all magazines and literature from our waiting areas and will be reducing use of these areas as much as possible.

  • The dentist will take your temperature and repeat the health screening questionnaire prior to starting treatment

  • The dental team will be wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as indicated for your treatment.

  • Following treatment proceed to reception to make payment. We would request credit/debit card payments and it will be possible to pay over the phone prior to your visit to minimise time at reception
